MY WORK
User Research
User research is an imperative process for gaining a comprehensive understanding of the individuals who currently use or will be using your product or service. By employing a variety of user research methods and tools, unique and invaluable insights will be uncovered into what your users truly desire and how they interact with your offering. Obtaining concrete data, as opposed to relying on idealized assumptions, is crucial when it comes to designing and delivering a truly exceptional product.

Immersive Experience Design
Immersive experiences are the ultimate gateway to a whole new world of sensations. They are what people seek when they crave a transformative escape. While stepping outside is undeniably the best option, it’s not always within everyone’s reach. That’s where immersive experiences come into play – offering the closest thing to reality itself.
Games Graphics
As the lead visual designer for Blood Wake, a ground-breaking water simulation game for the first generation X-Box platform, I played a pivotal role in its resounding success. Unlike the film industry, game development allowed me to delve into the interactive programming process. Collaborating closely with talented programmers, we brought our collective vision to life. Engaging, thrilling, and truly immersive – that’s the power of games. Game Graphics
Animation.VFX
My proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing propelled me into renowned animation studios such as Pixar and VFX giants like Sony Images Works. I worked with an exceptionally skilled Visual Effects (VFX) team on the production of The Matrix Revolutions. Animation.VFX
Mobile Apps
I successfully conceptualized mobile apps, as evident here. However, I believe that the path of mobile app design wasn’t the direction I was meant to pursue in my journey. Mobile Apps
Product Design / User Experience
My product design perspective broadened when I went through Cornell University’s Human Computing Interface (HCI) program. I narrowly thought it was my role to come up with all the innovative solutions. Through this program, I gained valuable insights into the importance of contextual interviews and user mapping, which either validated or humbly made me discard my initial ideas. Equipped with visual skills and technical know-how, I strive to create functional and enjoyable user experiences.
Duke Energy
Duke Energy, a century-old utility company, proudly powers 6 states in the Southeast region of the United States. Duke Energy strive to achieve clean energy sustainability by 2030. To support this ambitious goal, Duke Energy launched the Strategy Innovation group.
As a passionate UX/UI designer, I joined this team to contribute to two impactful projects – Plantview (EZ Reporting) and iGrid Visualization. My role involved educating my team on the user research and experience design process, while also facing the challenge of effectively communicating the necessary steps to our product owners for desired results. Despite time constraints, I successfully delivered favorable outcomes that pleased both our business unit and end users. Reporting Project and I-Grid Visualization.
PRODUCT Design
When contemplating my career, product design emerged as the most compelling field of study. It offered a creative outlet, allowing me to address human desires, needs, and, ideally, solve functional problems. I was surrounded by the most talented peers who are now design leaders today. 3D computer graphics was later embedded in my last school years which catapulted me into film special FX and games. Design Thoughts
Everyday life can run smoothly or chaotic at times. The chaotic times pushes me into a problem solving mode because I just can’t stay in a chaotic state nor want to invite more chaos in. Design thoughts are just short design exercises for me to see how I could make my life better and hopefully someone elses. Design Thoughts
Graphics
I believe designing graphics is a foundational skill that every designer must know how to do. 2D graphics is more than just selecting the appropriate font and image and laying it nicely on a page. Its a way of visually communicating a message, style, attitude to make its viewer evoke a thought or feeling. The graphics I present here are print graphics for marketing and advertising.
